Growing up in Northumberland, Derek has always have a love for people, words and life. He lives to inspire people just as they inspire him. As a teenager her wrote a children’s book called Magic Gloves and then went on to write Diary of a Cricket Season when he was just 17. Over time he has written many novels, countless poems, short stories and of course his beautiful songs. It is something he always finds time for no matter what other projects he involved in. His gift is his words and he tries to always use them for good.
